Seeing veterans being honoured and respected here, felt a little bit like Christmas. It filled me with gratitude.
Last night I sat with a patient and we talked about the struggles in his life, about the pain of his childhood about not being acknowledged by his dad, about the shame of being punished and ridiculed in front of his class. We also visited the highlights, the most joyful times in his life. It was a Remembrance Day, revisiting, remembering, acknowledging it all.
Then I read with him one of my favorite poems from the 13th century Persian Poet Rumi. Click here to read more.
If God said,
“Rumi, pay homage to everything that has helped you enter my arms.”
There would not be one experience of my life,
not one thought, not one feeling,
not any act,
I would not bow to."
You might want to use Remembrance Day to remember yourself, to honour your story. In case it should not feel like peace, it might be time for action, as sometimes it is these old wounds that are the hidden cause of a health problem.
Luckily there is homeopathy. Homeopathy can help us to bless old scars, to overcome a health challenge and to turn our lives towards a bright future. Feel into your heart if it is the right time to ask for help. Then call me at 250-896-0070.
Let me close this newsletter with a special offer:
I offer to all Canadian veterans a discount of 25% off a homeopathic treatment. I do this to honor my father. He was a soldier, and he came home broken.
